What is the aesthetic aspect that female genitalia should present?

It is a common procedure, and increasingly demanded by many patients. Hypertrophy (overgrowth) of the labia minora is an aesthetic and sometimes functional concern.
This is why we have patients who consult us simply because they want to improve the aesthetic appearance of this area, and labia minora reduction surgery achieves this, in a simple and painless procedure. It is usually performed in the operating room, under local anesthesia and sedation (no general anesthesia or hospitalization is required). Patients go home 2-3 hours after the procedure.
On the other hand, sometimes there are medical reasons to perform this intervention, when the hypertrophy of the labia minora is such that it causes discomfort or discomfort to patients (problems in sexual intercourse, when playing sports, when wearing tight clothing, etc.). ). In this case the procedure is similar to what we have already mentioned. Resorbable stitches are usually placed, which fall out by themselves, and this tissue heals quickly (in 7-10 days it is completely healed).
- LIPOFILLING or FAT INJECTION ON THE MAJOR LIPS
It can be done alone or combined with labia minora reduction. Lipofilling consists of grafting the patient’s own adipose tissue in the desired area, in this case, the labia majora. This is achieved by “rejuvenating” the area, since over the years fat is usually lost, and with it the smoothness, finding the external genitalia flaccid and sagging.
The fat or adipose tissue is extracted from the patient herself, from the abdomen, thighs, buttocks… and is processed to obtain a pure and clean adipose fraction (our technique is washing and centrifugation).
This is the graft that will be deposited in the labia majora to restore their more harmonious appearance.

- PENIS ENLARGEMENT
This procedure basically consists of cutting the suspensory ligament of the penis. The suspensory ligament is anchored to the pubis and the base of the penis. Its resection can increase the size of the penis by 1 + /-0.7 cm, without functional repercussions. It is a delicate procedure since the ligament must be adequately loosened avoiding injury to delicate structures such as sensitive nerves, spermatic ducts, or the corpora cavernosa.
Other ancillary procedures that can help improve the outcome are liposuction of the pubic area and the VY flap at the incision to access the suspensory ligament.
As a disadvantage, some patients report a certain sensation of instability of the penis during erection, although this does not cause any functional problems of any kind.
- LIPOFILLING PENIS (ENLARGEMENT)
This procedure consists of infiltrating subcutaneous fat into the penis. The fat is obtained from the patient himself with a small liposuction (abdomen, flanks, etc.) is processed and purified, and is grafted in the entire penile cylinder, excluding the glans penis.
